Question 3

Yes. Oyaqua sanitary ware is designed for Africa's varied water pressure and quality — from low-pressure roof tanks to pump-boosted borehole supplies. We use low-pressure cartridges, anti-clog silicone nozzles, removable aerators and corrosion-resistant finishes, and we help distributors and contractors match the right model to local water data.

Accepted Answer

Can OYAQUA products adapt to Africa's different water pressure and water quality conditions? Yes. Oyaqua designs its sanitary-ware ranges for the conditions found across African markets — from low-pressure roof tanks and gravity-fed plumbing through to pump-boosted municipal lines and hard, sediment-laden borehole water. Our product team selects cartridges, seals, spray faces and surface finishes with these variables in mind. Exact pressure ratings, flow curves and material choices for each model are listed in the model specification sheet. Four Water Supply Types We Plan For Supply type Typical pressure Common water quality How Oyaqua addresses it Roof tank / gravity feed 0.1 – 0.3 bar Generally clean municipal water, but low and uneven pressure Low-pressure ceramic cartridges, air-boost shower handsets, wide-flow basin mixers and quiet fill valves Municipal main with pump boost 0.5 – 4 bar Chlorine, occasional sediment, pressure spikes Standard ceramic cartridges with built-in strainers, pressure-surge friendly hoses and valves Borehole / well direct 1 – 4 bar (pump dependent) High hardness, iron, manganese, sand and silt Easy-clean silicone nozzles, removable aerators, corrosion-resistant finishes; pre-filter recommended Intermittent / scheduled supply Fluctuating, often dry periods Sediment stirred up when supply returns; stored water may age Works with storage-tank and booster-pump combos; non-return valves and flush-friendly designs Pressure-Side Design Choices Low-Pressure Cartridges Ceramic-disc cartridges open smoothly even when the supply is only 0.1–0.3 bar, so basins and showers still feel usable on gravity-fed tanks. Air-Boost Shower Handsets Handsets mix air into the stream to give a fuller feel at modest pressure, and they are rated for both tank-fed and pump-boosted systems. Wide-Flow Basin & Bath Mixers Mixer designs with generous flow paths reduce the restriction that often makes gravity systems feel weak at the spout. Quiet, Wide-Range Fill Valves Toilet cistern fill valves are chosen to start filling at low pressure and remain stable when a booster pump raises the pressure. Reinforced Hoses & Angle Valves Flexible hoses and shut-off valves are selected to tolerate the pressure surges created by booster pumps and intermittent supply. Pump & PRV Compatibility Where site pressure is too low or too high, OYAQUA fixtures can be paired with booster pumps or pressure-reducing valves as part of the plumbing design. Water-Quality Considerations Hard Water & Limescale Shower handsets use soft silicone nozzles that can be rubbed clean, aerators unscrew for descaling, and ceramic surfaces are glazed to resist scale sticking. Sediment, Iron & Manganese Cartridges include mesh strainers to catch particles. In heavy silt or borehole water we recommend an 80–200 mesh pre-filter before the fixtures. High TDS & Saline Supplies PVD and stainless-steel finishes are less prone to spotting and surface attack than standard coatings; a regular wipe-down keeps them looking fresh. pH Variation Seals and cartridges are selected for the pH ranges commonly found in African municipal and groundwater sources (roughly pH 6.5 to 9). Soft silicone nozzles and removable aerators make it easier to keep OYAQUA products performing in hard or sediment-rich water. How to Choose the Right Specification Send Oyaqua five pieces of information and we will match the right models to your project or stock plan: 1 Pressure range. The lowest and highest static pressure measured at the fixture location. 2 Water source. Municipal main, roof tank, borehole, well, or a mixed system. 3 Water test results. Hardness, total dissolved solids (TDS), iron and pH if available. 4 Usage setting. Family homes, apartments, villas, schools, hospitals or shopping malls. 5 Pipework. Pipe diameter and material between the meter or tank and the bathroom. Simple Maintenance Tips for African Water Conditions Clean aerators and shower nozzles every 2–3 months in hard-water areas. Inspect pre-filter cartridges every 3–6 months and replace when flow drops. Flush storage tanks before first use after long outages to clear settled sediment. Check pressure at taps once a year, especially if a booster pump or PRV is installed. Need Help Matching Products to Your Water Conditions? Send Oyaqua your pressure range, water source and any test results. We will recommend the OYAQUA models, finishes and any site-level pre-filtration that makes sense for your supply. Question 4

Any registered business with warehouse or showroom space, a sales network, import clearance capability and after-sales support can apply to become an OYAQUA distributor. The programme suits importers, wholesalers, showroom owners, contractors and home-improvement traders who accept the OYAQUA brand-only policy.

Accepted Answer

Who can apply to become an OYAQUA distributor? Almost any legally registered business that can sell, stock and support bathroom products in its local market can apply. The best fit is a company that already has — or is ready to build — warehouse or showroom space, a customer network and an after-sales team. Because Oyaqua is a brand-only manufacturer, the applicant must also be comfortable selling the OYAQUA brand exactly as it leaves the factory: with our name, our packaging and our warranty backing. Five Profiles That Fit Best Importers & Wholesalers Companies that already import building materials or sanitary ware and distribute to smaller retailers, contractors or project buyers. Bathroom Showroom Owners Retail shops or building-materials stores with display space where end users can see, touch and compare basins, faucets, toilets and vanities. Project Contractors & Developers Firms that specify and buy bathroom packages for family homes, apartments, villas, schools, hospitals and shopping malls. Home-Improvement Traders Registered trading companies or e-commerce operators focused on construction and renovation products with a local logistics setup. Entrepreneurs With Local Reach New entities backed by funding, warehouse plans and a personal network of builders, plumbers or retailers, even if they have not yet stocked bathroom products. What We Look For Requirement Why it matters Registered local company We need a legal entity to invoice, sign an agreement and handle warranty support. Warehouse or showroom space Stock or display OYAQUA products so customers and projects can be served without long delays. Import clearance capability In countries without an OYAQUA overseas warehouse, the distributor handles customs and duties on direct shipments. Sales network or project pipeline A distributor should already know who will buy — retailers, contractors, developers or direct consumers. After-sales & installation support You are the first point of contact for the end user; Oyaqua backs you with spare parts and technical guidance. Accepts the brand-only policy We do not offer OEM/ODM or private-label production. The applicant must sell the products as OYAQUA. Warehousing and local delivery capacity are core requirements for any OYAQUA distributor. Who Is Not the Right Fit We review every enquiry, but experience shows these profiles usually do not work out: Pure commission agents who never take title to the goods or hold stock. Individuals without a registered company, since we cannot sign a distribution agreement or issue tax invoices. Buyers looking for their own brand on the product — Oyaqua does not offer OEM/ODM or private-label production. One-off arbitrage traders who want a single cheap shipment without any plan for stock, service or repeat business. If your goal is simply to place one small order for personal use, a local distributor is the better route; this programme is for businesses that want to represent OYAQUA in a market. How the Application Works 1 Send your company profile. Include registration, warehouse/showroom photos, current brands or customers, and the territory you want to cover. 2 Market review. We look at your customer base, competition, import experience and first-year sales plan. 3 Agreement & territory. If there is a fit, we sign an authorised distributor agreement with territory terms, price tiers and performance expectations. 4 First stock & training. You place an opening order, receive product and installation training, and start selling. Local Support You Receive Product catalogue with technical drawings, photos and recommended retail guidance Installation and service training for your team or appointed technicians Spare parts list and fast-track reorder channel for warranty claims Marketing images and sample sets for showroom display Flexible supply route — local warehouse stock where available, or direct shipment from factory Sales backup from the Oyaqua team for large project quotes and product matching After-sales capability is essential. We train your team and back you with spare parts. Think Your Business Is a Fit? Send Oyaqua your company profile, target territory and a brief description of your customers or projects. We will tell you honestly whether the OYAQUA distributor programme makes sense for your market. Apply to Become a Distributor

Question 5

No. Oyaqua does not offer OEM or ODM services. We design and manufacture bathroom products only under our own brand, OYAQUA - no private-label ranges, no buyer logos, no tooling built to another company's design. Partners work with us as authorised distributors, project suppliers or stockists of the OYAQUA range.

Accepted Answer

Do you offer OEM/ODM services? No. Oyaqua does not offer OEM or ODM services. We design, manufacture and sell bathroom products exclusively under our own brand, OYAQUA. We do not produce private-label ranges, do not put a buyer's name or logo on our products, and do not build new tooling to someone else's design. Every basin, faucet, toilet, vanity and shower set that leaves our factory carries the OYAQUA name and is backed by the same quality control and after-sales promise. This is a deliberate choice, and it shapes how we work with partners: you buy and sell the OYAQUA brand, rather than commissioning a factory to make your own. Why Oyaqua Is a Brand-Only Manufacturer One Consistent Standard When we build only for ourselves, every batch follows the same material list, the same inspection points and the same finish tolerance. There is no cheaper variant of the same model made to a different brief. One Clear Warranty Because the product, the packaging and the serial record all belong to one brand, a warranty claim can be traced and resolved without arguing over who specified what. Stock You Can Actually Buy Our overseas warehouses and factory stock hold OYAQUA products, not customer-specific runs. That is why a reorder months later looks and fits exactly like the first one. One Complete Range Basins, faucets, toilets, showers, vanities and mirrors are developed together. A project or a showroom can be filled with pieces that match, instead of mixing parts from different suppliers. What We Do Not Do, and What We Do Instead Request Oyaqua's answer Products under your own brand name Not offered. All products, packaging and manuals carry OYAQUA. New mould or tooling built to your design Not offered. We invest tooling only in the OYAQUA range. Your logo printed on ceramics, faucets or cartons Not offered. Branding is OYAQUA only. Choosing models, sizes and finishes from the OYAQUA catalogue Yes — this is how every order is configured. A coordinated package matched to a project BOQ Yes — we assemble the right mix from our range. Mixed containers across multiple product categories Yes — one shipment, one brand, one set of documents. Authorised distribution in your market Yes — including markets without an overseas warehouse. Spare parts and after-sales support Yes — handled through the seller who invoiced you, backed by Oyaqua. Every carton, manual, barcode label and warranty card is printed with OYAQUA. We do not produce private-label packaging. How You Can Work With Oyaqua 1 Become an authorised distributor. Sell the OYAQUA range in your country with territory terms, marketing material and product training. Available in markets with and without an overseas warehouse. 2 Source for a project. Send plans, a BOQ or a finish schedule and we match a coordinated OYAQUA package for family homes, apartments, villas, schools, hospitals and shopping malls. 3 Buy from local stock. Where OYAQUA operates an overseas warehouse, popular models are held locally so you can collect or receive within days instead of waiting for a shipment. 4 Build a showroom or catalogue line. Use the full OYAQUA range to present complete bathroom settings, with consistent finishes and one point of contact for parts. If You Are Looking for a Contract Manufacturer We would rather say this plainly: if your requirement is a factory to produce your own design under your own brand, Oyaqua is not the right partner, and we will not take the project on. Approaching us in that case only costs both sides time. If what you need is a dependable branded range to distribute, install or specify — with consistent quality, spare parts and a single name behind the warranty — then Oyaqua is built exactly for that. Tell us your market, your project type or your annual volume and we will map the closest OYAQUA models to your needs. Production output is packed under one brand. Nothing leaves the line without OYAQUA identification, inspection records and packing checks. What to Send Us Instead Your market and the city or region you serve Your role: distributor, contractor, developer, hotel or retail buyer Product categories you need: basins, faucets, toilets, showers, vanities, mirrors Volume and timing: annual estimate and first-order quantity Project documents: BOQ, drawings or finish schedule, if this is for a job Delivery preference: local warehouse stock or direct shipment Looking for a Brand Partner, Not a Contract Factory? Oyaqua is a brand manufacturer. If you want a bathroom range you can distribute, install and stand behind under one name, send us your market and requirements — we will recommend the right OYAQUA models and the fastest route to supply. Share drawings, BOQ, room schedule, finish schedule and delivery programme so we understand quantity, room types and interfaces. 2 Match products to the specification. We propose a coordinated bathroom package and confirm model numbers, finishes, dimensions, water pressures and any special requirements. 3 Approve samples and drawings. Physical samples are produced for sign-off before mass production; technical drawings are checked against the wet-room build-up. 4 Produce with QC checkpoints. We monitor incoming materials, mid-production dimensions, finish consistency, water testing and packing integrity. 5 Deliver in site sequence. Cartons can be marked by floor, tower, room or unit so the receiving team stages the right products in the right place. 6 Support installation and handover. We provide installation guides, spares packs and technical advice to help the project close out smoothly. A clear project scope, drawings and room schedule are the starting point for an accurate quotation and on-time delivery. Why Phased Delivery Matters on Site Matches Construction Programme Receiving every floor at once creates congestion. We ship in line with the installation sequence so products arrive when the wet trades are ready. Floor-Coded Packages Cartons and pallets are labelled by tower, floor and room so site teams can distribute quickly without opening every box. Reduced Damage Staggered arrivals keep finished goods out of busy construction zones for longer, cutting handling damage and replacement delays. Spares with the Order A small spare-parts allowance travels with each shipment to cover installation breakage and last-minute site adjustments. Quality Control & Documentation Area What Oyaqua provides Pre-production Material and finish samples, technical drawings and a confirmed mock-up package before mass production starts. In-production QC Incoming material checks, dimensional checks, assembly and function tests, and water-tightness checks where applicable. Pre-shipment Final inspection, carton condition checks, packing-list verification and pre-shipment photos or reports on request. Specification check Model numbers, dimensions, materials and finishes are confirmed against your BOQ before production, and confirmed again against the approved sample. Product data Technical drawings, installation dimensions, material and finish descriptions, and care guidance supplied so site teams can install and maintain correctly. Packaging Project export packing with foam, edge protection and labelled cartons suitable for container loading and site handling. Handover docs Packing lists, warranty cards, installation manuals and spare-parts lists to support commissioning. Floor-coded OYAQUA cartons staged in a warehouse, ready to ship in the order the site needs them. Question 7

Yes, Oyaqua appoints authorised distributors in countries without a company-owned warehouse. Apply with your company registration, import licence, warehouse plan and sales network. Approved partners receive direct factory shipments, samples, catalogues and training support.

Accepted Answer

How can I become an OYAQUA distributor in a country where there is no overseas warehouse? Yes. Oyaqua appoints authorised distributors in countries that do not yet have a company-owned warehouse. In those markets, goods are shipped directly from our factory as full-container or consolidated loads, and you hold stock in your own warehouse or through a local 3PL. The first step is to send us a distributor application: we review your company profile, import experience, storage plan and sales network, then agree on territory, exclusivity and commercial targets before any order is placed. What We Look for in a Distributor Registered Local Company Legal entity You must be a legally registered company in the target country with a valid tax number, import licence and any certificates required for sanitary ware, plumbing or building materials. Import & Customs Experience Trade capability You should already know how to clear container cargo, handle customs documentation and manage import duties, VAT or withholding taxes in your market. Warehouse or Showroom Storage & display Even without an Oyaqua warehouse nearby, you need a bonded or commercial warehouse and ideally a showroom where retailers, contractors and project buyers can view products. Sales & Service Network Market reach A credible distribution plan channels to retailers, project developers, plumbers and e-commerce. Local after-sales support and spare-parts handling are a strong advantage. How to Apply in Five Steps 1 Contact Oyaqua through the distributorship form. Tell us your company name, country, target territory and whether you want exclusive or non-exclusive rights. 2 Submit your company profile. Include business registration, tax certificate, import licence, bank reference, warehouse or showroom photos, and a short sales-network description. 3 Share a market plan. Outline the buyer segments you will serve, your first-year sales forecast, and whether you plan to carry stock or use a third-party logistics partner. 4 Review the draft agreement. We discuss territory, exclusivity, minimum purchase commitments, payment terms, trademark use and termination conditions. 5 Place a pilot order. Many partners start with a 20-foot or 40-foot container mix to test packaging, sales velocity and local service before scaling up. How We Cover Markets Without a Local Warehouse Direct Factory Shipment Orders ship from our manufacturing base as FCL or LCL cargo. You choose the Incoterm that matches your freight and risk preference. Consolidated Loading If a full container is too large for the first order, we can consolidate your Oyaqua products with compatible cargo to reduce freight cost per unit. Samples & Catalogues We send physical samples, technical catalogues and display boards so your sales team can present products without waiting for the first container. Remote Training & Support Product training, installation guidance and warranty policy briefings are delivered online. Market visits are scheduled once the volume justifies a trip. A starter sample kit lets you present Oyaqua materials, finishes and fittings to local buyers before the first container arrives. What Goes Into the Distributor Agreement Clause What is agreed Territory The exact country, region or group of cities where you may actively sell and promote Oyaqua products. Exclusivity Exclusive, non-exclusive or selective rights, linked to minimum purchase targets and performance reviews. Products The specific product lines, finishes and price bands covered by the appointment. Minimum purchase Annual or quarterly volume thresholds, with cure periods and consequences for repeated shortfalls. Pricing & payment Trade price list, currency, payment terms and the notice period for price revisions. Shipping Incoterms, packing standards, container loading inspection and responsibility for freight insurance. Trademark use Limited licence to use Oyaqua marks for promoting authorised products only; all materials need approval. Termination Notice period, grounds for early termination, and what happens to stock, outstanding orders and brand assets. Prepare These Documents Before You Apply Company registration and tax certificate Import licence or proof of import capability Bank reference or recent audited financial statements Warehouse or showroom photos and capacity Sales network overview: retailers, projects, plumbers or e-commerce channels First-year forecast by product category and expected container volume Direct container shipments keep your pipeline full even when Oyaqua has not yet opened a warehouse in your country. Interested in Becoming an Oyaqua Distributor? Send us your company profile and the country or region you want to cover. We will come back with the qualification checklist, a draft commercial outline and the next steps for a video introduction. Apply for Distributorship

Question 8

Your first warranty contact is the local seller who invoiced you, whether that is an Oyaqua warehouse, a distributor or an authorised dealer. That company logs the claim and arranges the fix. Oyaqua backs the seller as manufacturer by confirming defects, supplying genuine spare parts and replacement units, and providing technical guidance. Coverage applies to materials and workmanship, not to installation errors, misuse, unauthorised repair or harsh cleaners.

Accepted Answer

Who is responsible for warranty and after-sales support for OYAQUA products purchased locally? Start with the seller who invoiced you. If you bought from a local Oyaqua warehouse, distributor or authorised dealer, that company is your first point of contact for any warranty or after-sales request — it logs the claim, inspects the product and arranges the fix. Oyaqua, as the manufacturer, stands behind that seller: we confirm whether the fault is a manufacturing defect, supply the spare parts or replacement unit, and provide the technical guidance needed to close the claim. Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, not damage caused by installation errors, misuse, unauthorised repair or unsuitable cleaning products. The Short Answer: Three Parties, Clear Roles Your Local Seller First to respond The distributor, dealer or warehouse that issued your invoice handles claim intake, on-site inspection, photos and serial-number checks, and carries out or schedules the repair. In most markets the seller is legally the first responsible party, and then recovers costs from the manufacturer when the fault is a factory defect. Oyaqua (Manufacturer) Backing the warranty Oyaqua defines the warranty policy, confirms whether a fault is a manufacturing defect, supplies genuine spare parts and replacement units, and provides technical documentation and repair guidance. Manufacturing defects remain the factory's responsibility for as long as the stated warranty period runs. You, the Buyer Correct use and care You are responsible for installation by a qualified installer, following the care instructions, keeping the invoice and warranty card, and reporting a fault promptly instead of continuing to use a leaking or damaged unit. Damage from misuse, alteration or third-party repair normally falls outside warranty. Who Handles Which Situation Situation Who handles it What usually happens Component fails early with no visible damage Local seller claims, Oyaqua confirms Treated as a manufacturing defect: repair, part or replacement under warranty Wrong model, wrong finish or missing parts on arrival Local seller Pick-up and exchange from local stock, usually fastest to resolve Damage noticed before installation Local seller, with Oyaqua support Report within the receipt window with photos; do not install the damaged unit Leak or failure after installation Investigated first Covered if caused by the product; not covered if traced to installation or site pipework Surface dulled or stained by a harsh cleaner Buyer / installer Chemical and abrasive damage is excluded; use pH-neutral bathroom cleaners Cartridge dripping after long service Local seller, part from Oyaqua stock Wear parts are consumable; cartridge replacement is fast when stocked locally Spare part needed after the warranty period Oyaqua via the local warehouse Paid spare parts supplied subject to availability for the model Product modified or repaired by a third party Buyer Warranty is void for the altered part; Oyaqua can still advise on paid repair Keep the invoice and the warranty card that came with your unit — the purchase date on the invoice is what starts the warranty clock. How to File a Claim in Five Steps 1 Contact the seller on your invoice. Give the model code, quantity, purchase date and a short description of the fault. This is always the fastest route. 2 Share evidence. Send clear photos or a short video, the serial or batch number if present, and a copy of the invoice or delivery note. 3 Stop using the faulty unit. Continuing to run a leaking product can turn a small defect into consequential damage that warranty does not cover. 4 Allow inspection. The seller or an Oyaqua technician assesses whether the cause is manufacturing, installation, water quality or misuse. 5 Receive the remedy. Depending on the assessment: repair, a genuine spare part, a replacement unit, or a written explanation if the cause falls outside warranty. What Warranty Typically Covers — and What It Does Not Manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship Components that fail under normal residential or specified commercial use faults present before installation, reported promptly Genuine spare parts supplied through the local warehouse Technical guidance and repair documentation from Oyaqua Damage from incorrect installation or unsuitable site conditions Misuse, impact, overloading or alteration of the product Repair or disassembly by an unauthorised third party Abrasive pads, acid or bleach-based cleaners, and limescale build-up from untreated water Normal wear of consumables such as washers, seals and batteries Coverage length varies by component. Across the bathroom industry, vitreous ceramic basins commonly carry five to ten years, faucet cartridges around five years, and vanity cabinets anywhere from one to seven years depending on the brand and whether the project is residential or commercial. Always read the warranty card supplied with your specific model, and note that commercial installations are frequently given shorter terms than residential ones. Why Buying Locally Shortens the Whole Process Parts Already in Country Oyaqua stocks fast-moving spare parts — cartridges, valves, hinges, mirrors and fittings — in its African warehouses, so a claim does not wait on a container from the factory. Days, Not Weeks A replacement collected from local stock reaches the site in days. Shipping a single part from overseas typically adds several weeks of freight and clearance time. One Language, One Time Zone Your seller speaks the local business language and works in your working hours, which removes most of the back-and-forth delay in a claim. Project Records in One Place Buying through one local source keeps the invoice, model list and delivery records together, which is exactly what a warranty assessment needs. Local spare-parts stock is what turns a warranty promise into a repair that actually happens on schedule. Before You Buy: Four Things to Confirm in Writing Who is my warranty contact? Get the seller's name, phone number and the person responsible for after-sales. What exactly is covered, and for how long? Ask for the warranty card or policy wording for every product line in the order. How are parts supplied? Confirm which spare parts are held locally and what the lead time is for anything not in stock. What voids the warranty? Understand the installation, water-quality and cleaning requirements before the first unit is fitted. Need Warranty Support on a Local Purchase? Send Oyaqua your invoice, the model code and a short description of the problem. We will confirm the warranty status of your unit, tell you which warehouse holds the required part, and route the claim to the right local contact. Start a Warranty Request

What the Local Warehouses Actually Do Local Stock Holding Fast-moving bathroom vanities, shower systems, faucets and accessories are pre-stocked in-country, reducing the need for full-container orders from China. Faster Last-Mile Delivery Goods can be dispatched to project sites or distributor depots within days instead of the 4–8 weeks typical of sea freight. Local After-Sales Support Spare parts, replacement cartridges and warranty items can be fulfilled from the nearest warehouse, improving end-user confidence. Project Consolidation Mixed-SKU orders for hotels, apartments and school projects can be picked, checked and repacked locally before site delivery. How to Order from an Oyaqua Warehouse 1 Share your project. Tell us the country, product mix, quantity and delivery deadline. We route the order to the nearest stocked warehouse. 2 Confirm stock & price. Receive a local landed quote in USD or the local currency, plus estimated delivery schedule. 3 Quality check & pickup/dispatch. Goods are inspected, packed and either collected from the warehouse or delivered to your site. 4 After-sales follow-up. Warranty claims and spare parts are handled from the same local stock point. Local dispatch from the nearest warehouse cuts total lead time and keeps your project schedule on track. When to Use Local Stock vs. China Direct Choose local stock when you need shorter lead times, small-to-medium quantities, urgent replacements or after-sales support. Question 10

Pick by the moisture the vanity actually faces, not by looks. Sintered stone leads on surface performance (Mohs 6-7, absorption 0.05%) and suits premium hotels and condos; multi-layer solid wood offers real-wood warmth with far better dimensional stability than solid timber; PVC is 100% waterproof, light and the most cost-efficient for rentals, high-density housing and tropical climates. Always approve physical samples before bulk orders.

How to Choose Bathroom Vanity Materials: Sintered Stone, Multi-layer Solid Wood, or PVC? There is no single "best" bathroom vanity material. The right choice depends on how much moisture the cabinet actually faces, your unit budget, and how much maintenance the end user will accept. In short: sintered stone wins on surface performance, multi-layer solid wood wins on warmth and structural stability, and PVC wins on waterproofing and cost. Quick Answer: Match the Material to the Moisture Sintered stone — Mohs hardness 6–7, water absorption ≤0.05%, heat resistant to around 300°C. Best for 5-star hotels, premium residences and high-traffic washrooms. Multi-layer solid wood — cross-laminated plies resist warping and swelling far better than solid timber. The mainstream choice for mid-to-high-end apartments and villas. PVC — fully waterproof, immune to mould, rot and termites, and roughly 10–15% lighter to ship. Best for rentals, dormitories and tropical or high-humidity regions. Side-by-Side Comparison Factor Sintered Stone Multi-layer Solid Wood PVC Water resistance Excellent, absorption ≤0.05% Very good once all edges are sealed Excellent, 100% waterproof Surface hardness Mohs 6–7, highly scratch resistant Depends on veneer or lacquer finish Softer, can scuff and scratch Heat resistance Up to ~300°C with no deformation Moderate, keep hot tools away Low, may distort under sustained heat Weight & handling Heavy, needs reinforced fixing Medium Light, easiest to install and export Look & feel Premium stone with marble-like veining Natural wood grain, warm to touch Plastic-like, wide colour range Maintenance Near zero, never needs sealing Periodic sealing and good ventilation Wipe clean, no sealing Relative cost High Medium Low to medium Best for Luxury hotels, premium condos Mid-to-high apartments, villas Rentals, high-density housing, tropics Compare real samples under your project lighting before you commit to a bulk order. The Three Materials in Detail Sintered Stone (Rock Slab) Choose it when the countertop takes heavy daily abuse and the design brief calls for a luxury stone look. It is fired above 1,200°C, is non-porous, UV stable, and resists acids and household chemicals, so it will not stain or harbour bacteria. Watch out for brittle edges that can chip during handling or installation, and the cold feel of the surface. It is heavy, so the wall structure and fixings must be specified accordingly. Multi-layer Solid Wood (Plywood) Choose it when you want genuine wood warmth with reliable dimensional stability. High-quality 7-layer or 9-layer board with waterproof veneer or HPL finish holds heavy countertops and stays flat through humidity swings. Watch out for exposed edges. Any unsealed cut is an entry point for water, and the cabinet still needs reasonable ventilation to avoid long-term swelling. PVC Choose it when the space is permanently damp or the budget per unit is tight. PVC is integrally formed without joints, immune to mould and termites, easy to clean, and light enough to cut freight cost per container. Watch out for low-grade board that can warp under high heat or scratch easily, and a lower perceived value in ultra-luxury residential markets. A 4-Step Checklist Before You Order 1 Grade the moisture. No wet-dry separation and poor ventilation → PVC or sealed plywood. Good separation and airflow → all three materials are viable. 2 Set the unit budget. Compare landed cost per vanity, including freight weight, not just ex-works price. 3 Check the substrate. Sintered stone tops are heavy; confirm the wall can carry the load and specify the right fixings. 4 Approve physical samples. Colour drift happens in production runs, so sign off a pre-production sample under the project's actual lighting. Care Tips That Extend Service Life Wipe standing water off the countertop and joins within 30 minutes. Use pH-neutral cleaners. Avoid hydrofluoric acid, which is the one chemical that damages sintered stone. Re-seal exposed wood edges every 12 to 24 months. Run ventilation for 15 to 20 minutes after each shower. Not Sure Which One Fits Your Market? Oyaqua supplies sintered stone, multi-layer solid wood and PVC bathroom vanities to distributors, contractors and hotel groups.
