OYAQUA has added ten shower sets to the range this season: two concealed sets, six exposed sets and two full-height shower panels. This guide covers what each one actually delivers, which control it uses, and how to match it to the water pressure and water quality it will meet on site.
They are grouped below by installation type — concealed first, then exposed standard sets, exposed thermostatic flagships, and finally the two panels — because installation type is the decision that determines everything else about the specification.
Concealed, Exposed or Panel: Decide This First
Installation type is the decision that locks everything else in, and it is usually made by the building rather than by taste. Three options cover the whole release.
Concealed (CS-915K, CS-917C). The valve body sits inside the wall and only the trim plate and controls are visible. It gives the cleanest result and keeps the shelf or ledge clear, but the body has to be fitted before tiling and any future service means opening the wall. Specify it on new builds and full strip-out renovations, and make sure the rough-in body ships with the first order rather than the last.
Exposed (SH-818C, SH-825C, SH-837H, SH-834H, SH-839H, SH-841H). The complete assembly mounts on the finished wall and connects to standard hot and cold pipe centres. It is the retrofit answer, it is serviceable without breaking tiles, and it is what most replacement and renovation volume runs on.
Shower panel (SP-918K, SP-920C). A full-height column carrying the overhead head, body jets and hand shower in one unit. It delivers the most functions per square metre, but it needs full wall height and enough flow to feed several outlets. Check pressure before you promise the full experience.
Rule of thumb: if the walls are already tiled, choose exposed. If the walls are open, concealed is worth the extra planning. Reserve panels for rooms where the customer has explicitly asked for body jets.
What the NKBA 2026 Bath Trends Report Says About Showers
The National Kitchen & Bath Association released its 2026 Bath Trends Report in November 2025, built on a survey of close to 700 kitchen and bath professionals. Several findings point directly at the shower.
Showers are beating bathtubs. More than half of respondents — 55% — say a larger, better-equipped shower matters more to homeowners than keeping a bathtub.
The footprint is growing. 72% expect the overall bath footprint to increase, and 89% name space allocation in the primary bath as a top priority.
Polished is losing. For fittings, matte (54%), brushed (51%) and satin (46%) all outrank polished (39%) — a direct challenge to the default chrome specification, and the reason matte black and gun grey earn shelf space.
Hospitality sets the benchmark. 77% expect hotel and resort-inspired bathroom design to grow, which is why guest bathrooms are where multi-outlet sets get trialled first.
Accessibility has gone mainstream. 32% say aging-in-place features such as benches and grab bars are already standard, and a further 48% expect them to become so — a strong argument for thermostatic control with a temperature stop.
Neutrals dominate, with green emerging. 96% identify neutrals as the most popular bath colours — off-white 58%, light brown or tan 54%, white 40% — while sage (64%) and olive (43%) lead the accents.
Less grout, more slab. 89% report homeowners wanting smaller or no grout lines, and 80% expect large-format flooring to lead.
Style leans timeless, not loud. Transitional or timeless design leads at 70%, followed by organic or natural at 65% and contemporary or minimalist at 57%.
Read together, these numbers describe a buyer who wants generous coverage, calm styling and a finish that is not high-shine chrome. Seven of the ten new OYAQUA sets are matte black, gun grey or stainless rather than polished chrome.
Six Specification Points That Matter in a 2026 Shower Set
Two shower sets can look almost identical in a photograph and perform completely differently after eighteen months. These are the points that decide the outcome.
Silicone easy-clean nozzles. Flexible silicone lets you wipe limescale off the spray face by hand instead of soaking the head in acid. In hard-water regions this is the single feature that keeps a set looking new.
Air-injection spray. Air is drawn into the stream through a venturi constriction, enlarging each droplet so the spray feels fuller at a lower actual flow rate. It is why modern efficient heads do not feel weak.
Thermostatic control with a temperature stop. A thermostatic cartridge holds outlet temperature when supply pressure fluctuates and commonly includes a 38°C lock that protects children and elderly users from scalding.
Hydro-powered lighting and readout. On the SH-834H, SH-839H and SH-841H the LED lighting and temperature display are driven by the water flow itself, so there is no battery to replace and no wiring at the wall.
A coating tested against salt spray. For coastal and humid projects, ask your supplier for salt spray test data — ASTM B117 is the usual accelerated protocol. This is the check that separates a finish which pits in sea air from one that does not.
Material placed where it counts. Brass waterways on the concealed and thermostatic sets, stainless steel bodies on the standard exposed sets and both panels, and ABS at the overhead head and hand shower to keep weight down and the handpiece comfortable to hold.

Watch-outs
Manual hot and cold
One lever or two handles blend hot and cold; the user sets the position by feel
Apartments, schools, shopping malls, any budget-led volume job
Outlet temperature shifts when pressure changes elsewhere in the building
Thermostatic
A cartridge holds the selected temperature and usually includes a 38°C safety stop
Family homes, villas, hospitals, guest bathrooms
Needs a minimum operating pressure and a hot supply comfortably above the target outlet temperature
Four of the ten new sets are thermostatic: the concealed CS-917C and the three gun-grey piano-key sets SH-834H, SH-839H and SH-841H.
Concealed Shower Sets: CS-915K and CS-917C
These two are the design-led end of the release. Both hide the valve body in the wall, leaving only the control plate, the head and the arm visible — the look that suits the slab-and-large-format bathrooms 89% of professionals report being asked for.

A brass waterway with stainless trim. Matte is the finish 54% of professionals now rank above polished.CS-917C — polished chrome, concealed, thermostatic, three outlets. Individual handwheels control an oversized overhead head, the hand shower and a waterfall lower spout. This is the specification to lead with for guest bathrooms: thermostatic control holds temperature when other fixtures draw water, and the waterfall spout gives the resort-style detail 77% of professionals expect to grow.
Ordering note: both sets need the in-wall body installed before tiling. Confirm pipe centres and wall depth at first fix, and ship the rough-in body with the first order so the tiler is not waiting on it.
Exposed Shower Sets, Standard Range: SH-818C, SH-825C and SH-837H
Three sets, one job: a complete three-outlet shower on a finished wall, at a price that works for volume. Each has an overhead head, a hand shower and a spout built into the valve body itself, so the user can draw water without reaching past the spray.

SH-818C — polished chrome, exposed, three outlets. The straightforward replacement set: stainless steel body with an ABS overhead head and hand shower, manual hot and cold control. It matches existing chrome brassware, which is what decides most like-for-like renovation sales.SH-825C — polished chrome, exposed, three outlets. The same configuration as the SH-818C with different trim detailing, so a distributor can offer two chrome options on one shelf without doubling the spares inventory. Stainless body, ABS head and hand shower.SH-837H — gun grey, exposed, three outlets. The gun-grey version of the same layout. Gun grey and matte finishes hide water spotting and fingerprints far better than polished chrome, which is why this is the set to show alongside the chrome pair in a showroom.
Because all three share the same three-outlet layout, a distributor can cover chrome and gun grey, renovation and new build, with one fixing pattern and one spare-parts list.
Exposed Thermostatic Flagships with Piano Keys: SH-834H, SH-839H and SH-841H
This is the feature-led group. All three are gun grey, all three are thermostatic with piano-key selection, and all three carry a widened valve body that doubles as a shelf for bottles. The LED lighting and, on two of them, the temperature display are powered by the flow of the water itself — no battery, no wiring.

Function counts refer to independently selectable outlets — four piano keys means four keys. On the SH-834H the body jets are switched by their own diverter, so they can run with the overhead head or on their own.
SH-834H — the most capable set in the release. Four piano keys plus a separate diverter for the four body jets, a spray gun for cleaning the enclosure and washing, and a temperature readout that removes the guesswork from setting the water. Brass waterway, stainless and ABS trim.SH-839H — the display piece. The widened shelf body carries an illuminated starry-sky panel that lights up as soon as the water runs, which is the detail that sells the set on a showroom wall. Same four piano keys and spray gun, brass waterway.SH-841H — the balanced option: LED lighting and a temperature display on a wide shelf body, with the spray gun but without the body-jet circuit. Choose it where the customer wants the readout and the cleaning gun but the plumbing is not sized for body jets.
Selling point to lead with: the temperature display is hydro-powered. Customers routinely assume it needs wiring or batteries, and learning that it does not is usually what closes the upgrade from a standard exposed set.
Shower Panels: SP-918K and SP-920C
The two panels are the highest-function products in the release and the ones that need the most site checking. Both are stainless steel, both mount as a single full-height unit, and both put body jets at torso height.

SP-918K — black, five outlets. The hollow circular overhead head runs in two modes, a rain pattern and a waterfall cascade, and the two side columns carry the body jets, with a hand shower completing the set. In black stainless steel, this is the strongest statement piece in the release and the natural hero unit for a showroom wall.SP-920C — polished chrome, five outlets. A one-piece panel whose neck curves uninterrupted into the overhead head, with body jets set into the panel face, a hand shower and a lower spout. The integrated construction means fewer joints on the wall and a faster install than a built-up set.
Both panels reward a pressure check before quoting. Five outlets is a lot of demand on one supply, and on a gravity-fed tank the honest advice is usually to run the overhead head and the body jets separately. Where the customer wants everything at once, size the booster pump for the whole panel rather than for the head alone.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does "3-function" or "4-function" mean on a shower set?
It counts the independently selectable outlets. A three-function set gives you an overhead head, a hand shower and a lower spout; a four-function piano-key set adds a spray gun. On the SH-834H the four body jets run off a separate diverter, so they are not counted among the four keys.
Do the LED lights and temperature display need batteries or wiring?
No. On the SH-834H, SH-839H and SH-841H the lighting and the display are powered by the flow of water through the set. There is no battery to replace and no electrical connection at the wall.
Should I choose concealed or exposed for a renovation?
Exposed, in almost every case. The SH-818C, SH-825C and SH-837H mount on the finished wall and connect to standard pipe centres, so the tiles stay intact. Concealed sets such as the CS-915K and CS-917C require the in-wall body to be fitted before tiling.
Will a large rain head work on a tank-fed system?
Only if pressure and flow support it. A gravity-fed rooftop tank often delivers well below the 2.5 bar or so that a large head needs, and a five-outlet panel asks for more again. Choose a set with air-injection spray and a capable hand shower, run the overhead head and the body jets separately rather than together, and add a booster pump if measured pressure is under about 1.5 bar.
Is a thermostatic valve worth the extra cost?
For family homes, villas, hospitals and any property with fluctuating supply, yes. A thermostatic cartridge holds outlet temperature when pressure changes and typically includes a 38°C stop that protects children and elderly users from scalding.
Why are the overhead head and hand shower ABS rather than metal?
ABS keeps the handpiece light and comfortable to hold and keeps the weight off the head and arm, which matters on a slide bar that is adjusted daily. The load-bearing parts are what use metal: brass at the waterway on the concealed and thermostatic sets, stainless steel at the body.
How do I stop limescale blocking the nozzles?
Specify silicone easy-clean nozzles and wipe them by hand as part of routine cleaning. Tilt the head after use so residual water drains out. For stubborn deposits, a 10% citric acid solution works without the damage caused by abrasive or bleach-based cleaners.
Three things decide whether a 2026 shower set sells and stays sold. The first is installation type: concealed for new builds and strip-outs, exposed for everything retrofitted over finished tile, panels where the customer has asked for body jets and the pressure can support them. Getting this wrong costs more than any finish decision.
The second is control. Four of the ten new sets are thermostatic, and on family, villa and healthcare projects the temperature stop is the feature that justifies the step up. The third is the one that protects margin: match the set to the water. Silicone easy-clean nozzles, air-injection spray that holds up at low inlet pressure, enough pressure for the outlet count you have sold, and a finish chosen for hard water and coastal air are what stop a shower set from becoming a warranty claim.
